How to Make a Sunflower Accordion Book

Sunflowers are blooming and sunflower seeds are being harvested this time of the year. Children love to pick the seeds from the sunflower heads.

This project is fun to do with children ----

Glue a sunflower seed on first page. Press and glue a stem and leaves from a small sunflower on the second page. On the third page glue petals. The fourth page is a rubber stamped picture of a sunflower plant. It can be colored with beeswax crayons, or they can draw their own sunflower plant. Each page is labeled with the part or plant.

If you do not have fresh sunflowers the children or you can cut out a stem, leaves and petals from constuction paper.

This time I punched holes in the poster board and put some jute through it for looks.
